At 7:15 p.m., the Bettendorf Bulldogs face the Pleasant Valley Spartans at Spartan Stadium. The two schools have been long-time rivals and tonight is poised to be a great game as Pleasant Valley (5-0) is ranked No. 1 in Iowa’s 5A Class.

The game will also feature the annual “Fill-the-Truck” event that raises money and non-perishable food items which will be donated to the Riverbend Food Bank. The school that collects the most donations wins the challenge, along with bragging rights. Bettendorf is the reigning “Fill-the-Truck” champion.

The Bulldogs (1-4) will need to have a great run defense to come out of the game with a win. PV has thrown the ball only 30 times; however, their rushing numbers are impressive. After three consecutive losses to the Spartans, the Bulldogs will look to get back to old ways as the Bulldogs have won 14 of the last 19 matchups between the teams.
